Custom AI chatbots, trained only on your own material
Give your members, customers and staff accurate answers from the material you approve. I build it in your accounts, and you own it.
Book a callCourse assistant
For course creators and experts
Give your members an assistant that knows your course inside out
Your course library is the most valuable thing you own. I build a chatbot trained on your course content and nothing else, behind your paywall, so members get answers in your words whenever they need them.
More value for members
Members get answers from your material any time, instead of waiting for the next live call or digging through modules.
Fewer repeated questions
The same questions stop landing in your inbox and community, so your time goes to the members and work that need you.
Your content stays yours
It's a chatbot for your membership site, trained on your material and kept behind your paywall. It isn't handed to the public, and you own the whole system.
Built for a big library
Course videos and transcripts, PDFs, slide decks, workbooks. Thousands of documents is fine. There's no cap on how many I can load.
More than one chatbot
One for paying members, one for customer service, one for your staff. They can share one library, and some documents can stay limited to one chatbot.
Offers in the conversation
When it fits the question, the chatbot can point a member to your next course or a free resource.
Chatbot subscription or custom build?
If your library is a few hundred documents and your traffic is modest, a chatbot subscription is the better deal, and I'll tell you so.
Subscription products are quick to set up, and every plan has a ceiling. Docuyond's Pro plan is $79 a month for up to 100 documents and 10,000 replies. BuiltABot's Advanced plan is $149.99 a month for up to 300 documents and 75,000 messages. Chatbase's Business plan is $400 a month for 15,000 messages, and Botpress's Team plan is $750 a month for 1,500 conversations. A library of thousands of documents is well past a 100- or 300-document cap.
| Chatbot subscription | Custom build | |
|---|---|---|
| Documents | Subscription Capped by plan | Custom build No cap |
| Messages or conversations | Subscription Capped by plan | Custom build Limited only by your AI usage budget |
| Several chatbots sharing one library | Subscription Depends on the plan | Custom build Built in, with documents limited to the chatbots you choose |
| Custom interactions, like offers | Subscription What the product supports | Custom build Built around how you sell |
| Branding | Subscription Vendor branding removed only on some plans | Custom build Your brand only |
| Who owns it | Subscription The vendor | Custom build You own the code, the accounts and the data |
| Up front | Subscription Nothing | Custom build Chatbot projects start at $2,995, paid by milestone |
| Every month | Subscription The subscription fee | Custom build AI usage costs, billed by the provider to you, plus an optional $300 support plan |
A custom build makes sense when you have a large library, and you either expect a lot of conversations or want the chatbot to do something a subscription can't, like suggest your next offer.
For businesses
Answer customers and staff accurately, from your own documents
I build a chatbot for knowledge base questions, trained only on the documents you approve, and it hands off to a person when it should.
Customer service chatbot
It answers customer questions from your FAQs, support transcripts, manuals and product or service details, any time of day. When a question needs a person, it hands off.
For signed-in customers: It can also use that customer's own history, like past orders or support requests, so the answer fits their situation.
Internal assistant
Your staff ask it about your policies and procedures and get answers from your own documents, instead of interrupting you.
How I keep it accurate
Chatbots make things up when they answer from memory. Mine answer from your material, with hard limits on what they can say and do.
It answers only from the material you've approved, and says so when it doesn't know.
It hands off to a person when it isn't sure, or when the question needs one.
Hard limits stop it from doing anything it isn't allowed to do.
At first, a person reviews what goes out.
I test it against real questions from your members or customers before launch, and monitor it after.
How a chatbot project works, and what it costs
- Book a call
- Decide what it answers, gather material
- Clean up and organize material
- Build
- Test against real questions
- Launch
- Hand off and train
- Optional support plan ($300 a month)
Chatbot projects start at $2,995.
Every library and setup is different, so that's a starting point, not a quote. Once I understand what you need, you get a fixed price.
Fixed scope, fixed price, paid by milestone. You don't pay for a milestone until it passes. You own everything I build.
After launch
AI usage costs are billed by the provider directly to you, and I'll give you an estimated monthly range before launch. The optional support plan is $300 a month and keeps the chatbot working: fixes, updates when an AI provider changes something, and monitoring.

Why me
I've spent 28 years building business software. Since 2024, I've built three apps of my own with AI, including two custom AI chatbots.
It's built in your accounts, in your name. You own the code, the accounts and the data.
You get written documentation, and I train whoever will run it, so it doesn't depend on me.
