Terms of Use
Last updated November 3, 2026
These terms are written in plain language and apply to everyone who uses this website.
1. Who I am
SacAIConsultant.com is owned and operated by Mountain Town Media, a sole proprietorship registered in Sacramento, California, United States. I'm Matthew Hoesch, and I run it on my own. When these terms say "I", "me", or "my", they mean Mountain Town Media. When they say "you", they mean anyone visiting or using this website.
2. Agreeing to these terms
By using this website, submitting the AI Readiness Assessment, or sending me a message through the contact form, you agree to these terms and to my Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. I may update these terms from time to time (see section 12).
3. What this website is for
This website describes the AI consulting, automation, chatbot, and training services I offer to small businesses in the Sacramento region. Everything on it is general information. It is not legal, financial, tax, security, or other professional advice, and it is not a promise about results. The example use cases on the site are illustrative scenarios, not descriptions of specific clients or outcomes.
4. The free AI Readiness Assessment
The assessment is a free, self-reported questionnaire. Your score and the summary that follows are based only on the answers you give. They are a starting point for a conversation, not an audit, a guarantee, or a recommendation to buy anything. Please answer for a business you own or are authorized to speak for, and give accurate contact details. I may use the details you provide to follow up with you about your results. How I store and delete your submission is covered in my Privacy Policy; submissions are deleted after 12 months.
5. The contact form
When you send me a message, I use your name and contact details only to reply to you. Sending a message does not create a client relationship, and I may decline to take on any project. Messages are deleted after 12 months, as described in my Privacy Policy.
6. Paid services are agreed separately
Nothing is sold or paid for through this website. There are no visitor accounts, subscriptions, or online checkout. If we decide to work together, the scope, price, schedule, ownership, and payment terms for that work are set out in a written proposal and invoice that you and I agree to separately. Those documents, not these terms, govern paid work.
7. Acceptable use
Please use the site the way it is intended. You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or someone else's information through the assessment or contact form.
- Use bots, scripts, or other automated means to submit forms, scrape content, or load the site beyond ordinary browsing.
- Probe, interfere with, or try to get around the site's security, rate limits, or anti-spam measures.
- Use the site for anything unlawful or to send me unlawful, harassing, or infringing material.
I may block access from anyone who breaks these rules.
8. Content and ownership
The text, images, assessment questions, scoring, and design of this website belong to Mountain Town Media unless stated otherwise. You may read, print, and share links to the pages for your own business use. You may not copy, republish, or sell the content without my written permission. Product and company names mentioned on the site (for example, AI model and software providers) are trademarks of their owners and are used only to describe the work I do; no endorsement is implied.
9. Links to other websites
The site may link to other websites and services I don't control. I'm not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.
10. Disclaimer
This website is provided "as is" and "as available." I work to keep it accurate and online, but I don't promise that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure, or that any information on it is complete or current. To the extent permitted by California law, I disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mountain Town Media is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of this website or anything on it. Because the site is free to use, my total liability for any claim related to it is limited to one hundred US dollars ($100). Some laws don't allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you. This section does not limit any liability that cannot be excluded under California law, and it does not apply to paid work, which is governed by its own agreement.
12. Changes to these terms
I may change these terms when the site or the law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms. If a change is significant, I'll make it easy to notice on this page.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If we have a dispute about this website that we can't resolve by talking it through, it will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Sacramento County, California, and you and I both agree to their jurisdiction. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
14. Contact
